The man who died in a house fire where a woman had been stabbed, has been named as Omid Aref.
His body was discovered in the house in Argyle Street, Highfield, Keighley, last Wednesday, and police are still probing the circumstances of his death.
A spokesman for Airedale and North Bradford Police said they were still preparing a file for the coroner and detectives were still making inquiries.
Mr Arif, 33, was originally from Kurdistan and is understood to have been involved in a barber’s business called Station Cutz at Keighley railway station.
His body was found in the house by firefighters and the blaze is being treated as suspicious. Early indications reveal he died of smoke inhalation.
He is understood to be the father of a young child and had left the Keighley area to live in Birmingham with his extended family before recently returning to the Bradford area.
The 24-year-old Slovakian woman who fled the blazing house with a stab wound, also suffered burns and is being treated at Airedale General Hospital in Steeton.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the woman’s injuries or the fire.
They have stressed that from the initial inquiries which have been made, they consider that the woman was a victim.
