Students from Hanson School have planted a time capsule at the site of Bradford’s newest hotel, Jurys Inn.
The children put a range of items, including pictures they had drawn which represent what Bradford means to them, into the capsule which was buried as finishing touches were being put to the £20m hotel.
The hotel’s HR manager Adelle Hodgson is a former pupil at the school.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Peter Hill, was being joined by Bradford Bulls player Nick Scruton to open the 198-bedroom hotel, which has announced a sponsorship deal with the club .
The hotel has also sealed a sponsorship deal with the National Media Museum as part of a community programme which focuses on developing partnerships with local community groups, businesses and charities.
