A school is bracing itself for the end of an era when its headteacher and deputy head both retire this summer.
James Vincent and his deputy Martin Campey have worked at The Whartons Primary School, in Otley, for a combined total of 58 years.
Mr Vincent, runner-up in the Yorkshire Primary Headteacher of the Year competition two years ago, took charge at The Whartons in 1987.
He has also helped the school achieve two outstanding Ofsted reports over the past few years.
Meanwhile Mr Campey, who is the organist at Otley Methodist Church, joined The Whartons in 1975. He was in charge of music and was appointed deputy head in 1983.
