A four-year-old Skipton boy is preparing to climb one of Craven’s famous Three Peaks.
Big hearted Jack Chantrey was so upset by a television advert by the charity WaterAid that he wanted to do something to help.
And on Sunday August 1, along with mum, Louisa and dad, Paul, he will climb the 2,500ft Whernside.
“He was watching the WaterAid campaign advert on the television and was quite upset by the children having to drink dirty water,” said Louisa.
“He couldn’t understand why the children couldn’t drink clean water and I explained that they were very poor and couldn’t always get clean water.”
Jack responded by saying he would give them some money. “This is his way of raising money for the charity and he can’t wait to climb his mountain,” added Louisa.
