A headteacher who oversaw the move of his school from ageing buildings to state-of-the art new facilities is moving on after more than 13 years in the role.
Head of All Saints C of E Primary School, Peter Marsh will say goodbye to staff and pupils tomorrow as he leaves the Ilkley school to follow a new career in independent education consultancy work.
Mr Marsh, 54, who lives in Rawdon, said: “It’s been an absolute privilege to work here, it’s been a wonderful 13 and a half years, to be exact. It has been the most fulfiling years of my professional career, I can say that hand on heart, I’ve enjoyed every moment.”
The school’s deputy head, Karen Balmer, will take over as acting head for the next school year.
