Shipley Labour party has nominated Ed Milliband as its choice as party leader.
Members of the constituency party heard statements from representatives of Mr Milliband, the shadow energy minister, and shadow children’s secretary Ed Balls at a meeting in Bingley.
Ed Milliband is also fighting the leadership contest against his brother, David Milliband, former Minister for Health Andy Burnham and Diane Abbott.
Bradford Councillor Vanda Greenwood, chairman of Shipley Labour party, said the constituency party had opted for Ed Milliband because of his support for a “living wage” for all public sector workers, which takes into account area living costs.
