Saltaire Festival is set to include custom-made canal cruises on each day of this year’s event.
The 57ft-long narrowboat Lizzie-Jean will be brought down the canal from her moorings near Skipton to take part in the festival. The boat is owned by Airedale Cruising, which runs luxury charter cruises between Skipton and Gargrave.
Skipper David Fitch said: “I was invited to take part in last year’s Festival, but it wasn’t possible. I’m thrilled to be providing the first festival event this year.
“Saltaire was built beside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and this is an excellent way to bring it back into local prominence.
"Up to eight people can join each festival cruise for a touch of luxury while enjoying the canal-side buildings and scenery.”
Saltaire Festival cruises begin at 11am beside Saltaire Bridge. For details, visit airedalecruising.info
