Hundreds of primary school children have been tasked with building robots by Titus Salt School.
Experts at the University of Bradford hosted the event which taught groups of nine to 11-year-olds about basic robotics and how automation affects our day to day lives.
Using their new found knowledge, children built robots and programmed them to follow a series of simple commands.
The robotics programme was devised when the primary schools identified an area of the Information and Communications Technologies curriculum that would benefit from specialist input.
Funding was provided by the Shipley Locality Achievement Partnership, as part of its remit to raise achievement and improve transition from primary to secondary school.
Children from Baildon CE, Low Ash, Sandal, St Walburga’s, Hoyle Court, High Crags, Glenaire and Shipley primary schools took part.
