Video gamers are wanted to help break a world record at the National Media Museum next week.
The museum and the Bradford Bulls want Bradfordians to help them break the record for the most people playing a Nintendo DS console in the same place at the same time.
Players Stuart Reardon, Elliott Whitehead, Heath L’Estrange and Rikki Sheriffe were joined by Super Mario after their regular training session to get in some extra practise ahead of the record attempt.
Ryan Duckett, Bradford Bulls chief executive, said: “It’s great to be part of such an exciting event.
“The team are hoping that hundreds of DS players will join them at the National Media Museum next Wednesday so we can beat the world record which currently stands at 586 gamers – I’m sure West Yorkshire can do better than that.”
To take part in the world record attempt players must register before the event begins at 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 28. For more information visit nationalmediamuseum.org.uk/worldrecord.
