All the noise, colour and chaos of the Rio Carnival came to Belle Vue Girls School in Bradford as up to 1,000 pupils from schools across the community got together to celebrate summer.
The young people paraded in blocks of colourful costumes depicting this year’s theme of the Pacific – and among the parade was a giant octopus.
The pupils’ parade took them from the school gates in Heaton to the sports hall for singing and dancing performances.
