Marks & Spencer is due to officially open its new distribution centre in Bradford tomorrow.
The 1.1m sq ft structure, bounded by the M606 motorway and Rooley Lane, is set to become the largest distribution centre in the M&S network.
Sir Stuart Rose, the outgoing chief of M&S, is set to conduct the opening ceremony tomorrow afternoon.
Regeneration chiefs say the opening will mark the culmination of much hard work from both the public and private sector.
The scheme, on the former West Bowling Golf Club site, was granted planning permission by Bradford Council in April 2008, and construction work began a year later following massive earthworks to level the 90-acre site.
A number of local sub-contractors have benefited from the scheme, including Barrett Steel Buildings, based in Cutler Heights Lane, Dudley Hill, and Atlantic CSP, based in Keighley.
