Education watchdogs have praised a Bradford primary school after an inspection.
St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, Shipley, has been rated “good” with “outstanding features” by Ofsted.
Its report highlighted “outstanding level of care, guidance and support and excellent equality of opportunity for all pupils”.
Other areas graded outstanding include the effectiveness of the school’s engagement with parents and carers; partnerships in promoting learning and well-being; pupils’ behaviour and the extent to which pupils feel safe.
Headteacher Madeleine Bannister said: “We are thrilled with this report; it reflects the hard work and commitment of staff, pupils, governors and parents.”
Chairman of the governors Councillor Vanda Greenwood said: “I am absolutely delighted with the result of this Ofsted, both pupils and staff have worked extremely hard to achieve this and it is very well deserved, I am proud to be the chair of governors at such a great school.”
