Bradford-born singer-guitarist Chantel McGregor would like to play more concerts in her home town, but says suitable venues are in short supply.
“I did jam sessions at The Melbourn, but that’s no longer there,” she said.
Chantel (pictured), a star graduate from Leeds College of Music, started out trying to tune her dad’s guitar at the age of three. At seven, she was having lessons. By the time she was 15 she was playing at Bingley Music Live.
Tomorrow night she’s in concert at Leeds Irish Centre, starting at 7.30pm.
Chantel, 24, lives at home in Wyke with her mum, Janet, and dad, Alan, where she is recording her first album, due out this year.
Before that, in August, she’ll be on the main stage at the Cambridge Rock Festival – one of many festivals she’s appearing in this summer.
