Live opera was shown on the big screen in Centenary Square, Bradford, tonight.
Simon Boccanegra was screened at 7.30pm from Covent Garden’s Royal Opera House.
People were able to watch Placido Domingo make his Royal Opera baritone debut in one of Verdi’s most demanding roles, set in 14th-century Genoa.
The event was one of 27 free screenings around the country this summer for thousands of people to enjoy world-class opera and ballet in their local area.
