Two high-profile names have been added to the growing list of acts confirmed to play at this year’s Bingley Music Live.
One-man band Seasick Steve and rising star Professor Green have joined the bill at the three-day festival in September.
Glastonbury regular Steve Gene Wold, known as Seasick Steve, has seen his popularity grow since a television appearance on Jools Holland’s Hootenany four years ago.
The American singer is known for Blues/Country-style tunes from makeshift instruments.
English rapper Professor Green will be flying in from Jersey. His latest song, I Need You Tonight, reached number three in the UK singles chart.
Other new additions to the bill announced this week are Scottish four-piece Kassidy, electro-rock band Dreadzone and Scouse indie-rockers Sound of Guns.
The weekend music festival kicks off on Friday, September 3, with a free evening of music, and continues on the Saturday and Sunday in Myrtle Park, Bingley. Headline acts are Manchester legends James and indie-rock three threesome, The Enemy. Other bands confirmed include Reef, Example and Gaggle.
Andrew Wood, Bradford Council’s event manager, promised said: “We’re having to work round exclusivities on acts but we are very confident the line-up will be as good if not better than last year’s. We are talking to very credible artists.”
Tickets cost £30, plus booking fee, and are on sale online at bingleymusiclive.com or by calling the hotline on 0871 230 0010.
