Youngsters aged ten to 16 have the opportunity to help the park rangers at Oakwell Country Park in Birstall to carry out conservation work over the summer.
The country park’s young rangers scheme gives young people the chance to do more challenging practical conservation tasks.
There will be sessions every Wednesday in August, including den-building on August 4 , exploring streams on August 11 and carrying out conservation work on August 18.
Sessions will be from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm and cost £1 per child per session.
On August 25, youngsters will get chance to do outdoor cooking, with sessions that day from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm, costing £2.50 per child per session.
Places can be booked by calling (01924) 326240.
