Villagers turned out in force forEast Morton Gala, to spend an afternoon in the sun, with children enjoying crowd favourites such as a bucking bronco and bouncy slide.
People lined the streets to see the biggest parade in the gala’s 49-year history, led by gala queen Mollie Foster, 12.
There were children’s skipping and sack races, an egg-throwing competition and street entertainers Urban Circus, who joined dancing groups in the arena at East Morton recreation ground.
Gala committee member Kathy Myers said: “It was just a delight to see so many villagers there.”
