A school celebration afternoon to herald the progress of its youngest pupils took on an African theme.
It was most appropriate to the achievements of two young boys who were recognised for broadening their horizons by sharing the school’s ‘Knowledge and Understanding of The World’ prize.
Lady Lane Park School, in Bingley, awarded the accolade to two inquisitive pupils, Luke Upton and Max Fleming, for taking leading roles in discussions.
Special praise was extended to Form Two pupil Hugh Murray who won a reading award. The five-year-old bookworm has a reading age of nine.
Other pupils who won prizes for making strides during the first few years of their time at the school were: Madison Kernick, Charles Savage, William Crookes, Isabelle Fay, Lucy Thornton, Jenna Narang, Kitty Bridges, Hazel Leckenby, Jacob Whiteley-Guest, Arabella Wade-Rayne, Gurcharan Bamrah, Charlotte Murie and Moby Zuberi.
