A burst water main in Bradford has caused traffic problems after roads had to be closed by Bradford Council’s emergency management team today.
Yorkshire Water has said it also has staff at the site of the burst in Smith Lane, Heaton, to investigate the scale of the damage.
A Bradford Council spokesman said Smith Lane has been closed from the junction of Toller Lane to Duckworth Terrace and Duckworth Grove has been closed from the junction with Duckworth Lane.
Metro said the 620 bus service has been diverted via Haworth Road, Heights Lane, Lynfield Drive, from Bradford, and Toller Lane to Bradford.
Householders in the surrounding areas have been warned they could experience supply or low pressure issues until the problem is fixed.
