Residents of the Yorkshire Dales National Park who want to comment on its draft housing development plan must make their views known by Monday, August 2.
The plan is out for consultation and is the subject of a series of public meetings, including one at Grassington Town Hall on Thursday.
In the initial draft, 140 sites for ‘affordable’ housing were put forward and representations were received and considered. Of those, 38 were earmarked for further consultation.
A number of the shortlisted sites have caused controversy among local people, including plans for green-field areas of Embsay.
The Grassington meeting will be divided into two sections. Professionals and public bodies are invited to go along from 2pm to 4pm and residents and parish councillors from 7pm to 9pm.
