A Pekingese owned by a Long Lee couple has become a finalist in a national dog competition.
Livanda Maluda won the toy dog group in the Petplan Junior Stakes qualifiers at the recent Blackpool Dogs Show.
The 16-month-old male dog is owned by Stuart and Andrea Livesey and began competing in dog shows at the age of six months.
Mrs Livesey has been a Pekingese breeder for 28 years.
Livanda, along with the winners of six other classes, will go to the Petplan finals in Manchester.
To attract more people to the show Petplan produced booklets to help explain the basics of dog showing and provided expert guides at the venues.
