An Elvis tribute act is just one of the district’s hopefuls in a new golden mic contest starting on Monday.
DJ and music producer Austin Gill has launched Bradford’s version of X-Factor to spot new talent.
Word has gone around the pubs, clubs, Facebook and Twitter that the search is on and hopefuls are queuing up for the chance.
Singers who apply will be invited to go along to the Yorkshire Rose pub in Guiseley this Monday.
Other heats will be every Monday night for the next six weeks with semi-finals to follow and then the final, hopefully in September.
The winner will have an eight-track demo recorded and produced at Waxworks Studios, Manningham.
Mr Gill said: “We’ve had a brilliant response so far. There’s lots of talent out there.”
