BBC Radio 4 are making a programme about The Yellow Fleet.
The ships were trapped in the Suez Canal for eight years after the Six Day War in 1967 and are so called because of the desert sand which changed the colour of the vessels.
The UK ships were MS Agapenor, MS Melampus, MS Scottish Star and MS Port Invercargili.
Some 11 other ships of various nationalities were also trapped as ships were scuttled at either end of the canal when the bitter conflict between Israel and Egypt broke out.
Memories of crew members or anyone at home at that time waiting for a loved one to come home, are the kind of content they are interested in.
