A Keighley man is on a mission to make organic the town's new buzzword with the opening of his shop 'Just Organix'.

Brendan Marren, 44, of North Dean Road, is set to open 'Just Organix' next week, but in the meantime is inviting anyone interested in organic products to come in and chat.

Brendan is sure that once people hear about the benefits of organic produce they will be converted.

He said: "I want to promote awareness of the benefits of organic products and a bit of the healthy eating side too. Shopping for food is too often a trolley dash. I want another area where people can relax, and where I can open their eyes to the benefits of eating healthily."

Brendan worked as a nutritionist at Delta Fitness in Sutton before going into the organic business and has always tried to live a healthy lifestyle.

The idea for 'Just Organix' came to Brendan six months ago and he has been working hard to put his plans into progress.

'Just Organix' is at number four East Parade, in the Royal Arcade, and will sell a wide range of products from meat to fruit and vegetables, from cosmetics to fine wines.

There will be a take away section where people can come in and have freshly made fruit smoothies concocted for them and home-made sandwiches, all with organic ingredients. In the summer there are plans to have an in ice-cream parlour.
