Young Keighley covers band Street Light City Movement, pictured left, support Montauk Island tomorrow at the Three Horses.

The Keighley gig is a rare appearance by the Islanders as they play around twice a week in other places.

Musician Stu said the busy schedule includes a London concert in March, and an April return to Liverpool's Cavern Club.

He said: "With all the contacts we are making, we're hoping this year will be a good one for us."

"Bearing in mind we've only been together in our current form for six months, we are really happy with our progress."

n The Nomads will make a rare performance at a reunion for Keighley and District youth club members from the 1950s and 1960s.

They have agreed to reform on February 10 as a tribute to former member Robert Bailey, who died recently after a brief spell in Manorlands.

The Nomads, popular locally for several decades, will be joined by keyboard wizard Stormin' Norman and singer John Driver.

Former club members are being urged to relive their youth, and take along photos and mementos of the era.

Tickets cost £5 from Fish People in Aireworth Road, Stockbridge, Inman's estate agents in North Street, or 01535 680195.

n Keighley folk singer Maggie Boyle is among performers at the First February Folk Festival hosted by the University of Leeds on February 17-19.

Immediately following her 1pm concert on the Saturday, Maggie will lead a voice workshop, also in the Clothworkers' Centenary Concert Hall.
