In Division Two Nemesis and Lothersdale 'C' fought out an intriguing encounter at Wrose where the home team's Craig Priestley was the only player to enjoy a max and, with that performance, ensuring a win by the narrowest of margins for Nemesis. Priestley's sternest test came against Andrew Lambe who only just ran out of steam to lose 10-12, 11-9, 10-12, 17-15, 11-5. Following this marathon, defeats of Richard Crookes 11-5, 11-8, 11-9 and Martin Mulligan 11-6, 11-9, 13-11 were comparatively comfortable for the Nemesis sharp shooter. Peter Worger and Tom Sampson added one each with wins against Crookes and Mulligan respectively before Worger teamed up with the effervescent Priestley to snatch the doubles from Lambe and Mulligan 11-4, 9-11, 5-11, 11-5, 11-9. Johnson & Johnson entertained Wilsden in a match that saw Derek Stanforth play extremely well yet only finish with one scalp - Dave Broadbent 12-10, 11-9, 11-6. The Gargrave player was unlucky to lose to Luke Broadbent 11-5, 9-11, 14-12, 8-11, 11-6 and gave Adam Broadbent a stiff test before going down 11-6, 11-9, 9-11, 11-6. However, other than a win for John Pullen against Dave, there was nothing else in the pot for J & J as the visitors swept to a commendable 8-2 victory ably led by brothers Luke and Adam who both finished undefeated; their wins against Pullen, 11-5, 13-11, 11-7 for Adam and 11-8, 12-10, 11-5 for Luke, being of the highest calibre.
