Albion Sports' only option this season is now the Premier Division title.

Going through a shaky month, they made their third cup exit in successive weeks as Fairweather Green repeated an earlier league victory to beat them 4-2 in the quarter-final of the Senior League Cup.

With Lee Summerscales involved in a lot of the moves, Fairweather made the more determined start and looked the most likely side to score.

Mark Flannigan provided the breakthrough, stabbing home after 15 minutes.

Stephen Zoll pulled a goal back but Fairweather quickly countered when Rob Morgan headed home Summers-cales' corner and then Chris Graham ran through to beat the keeper with a delicate chip.

In the second half, Albion came back through Paul Cuthbertson before Fairweather restored their two-goal cushion when John Penn scored.

Bolton Woods made it 21 goals in their last three matches with a 6-2 win at Holme Wood Athletic in the other quarter-final.

Birthday boy Andy Howland scored for the 15th game running and there was a screamer from Kevin Woodhead, now playing regularly after a long-term injury.

The four clubs in the semi-final draw are Bolton Woods, Fairweather Green, West Bowling and Dudley Hill Rangers.

In the Premier Division at Westwood, bottom club Crown made it four points out of six in their return game with Chellow. Michael Garnett put Chellow into the lead just after half-time but

former West Bowling striker Carl Storey grabbed the equaliser after 75 minutes.

There was a better performance from Queensbury, who shared the points with third-placed Oakenshaw. Mick Naylor was back to form with two goals. Oakenshaw replied through Richard Longley and the equaliser came from Danny Verity.

After being 2-0 down for 20 minutes to visitors Eccleshill, Division One leaders Ring O Bells Shipley levelled before half-time before blasting in six goals without reply in the second half.

The goal of the game came from James Gateley, who struck a 40-yarder, while Des Rouse made it eight in two games. He and Chris McMahon scored hat-tricks.

Two points separate the top three teams. Silsden won 6-1 at Wibsey WMC. It was a case of after the Lord Mayor's show after Wibsey's 5-1 verdict over Queensbury the previous Sunday.

Silsden settled the game with a five-goal 20-minute spell in the first half.

In a hard-fought affair at Dudley Hill Rangers, it was Jamie McEwan's double in the last 15 minutes that gave Rangers a 2-0 win over Victoria Rangers.

Putting pressure on Eastward and Eccleshill, bottom club Westwood had their best win so far with a 3-1 result at fourth-placed Buttershaw White Star. Billy Bingham was on target with two.

Clayton Orient, with another battling performance, moved up to third in Division 1A with a 1-0 over Baildon Trinity, the goal coming from a strong run by veteran sweeper Matt Woods.

A Jamie Hepworth penalty saw White Horse, who were down to nine men in the second half, gain a much-needed three points in a 3-2 win over derby opponents Hudsons. It saw them out of the two relegation places.

For the second week running, Oddfellows Athletic lost a 2-1 lead to share the points.

QCs led in the first half before two-goal Nicky Walker put his side in front. QCs, whose goals came from Andrew Hindle and Darren Atkinson, grabbed their equaliser in a game in which they looked better throughout.

Leaders Bishop Rovers were brought down to earth at Ventus Sports.

Unable to cope with Ventus' free-

flowing football, Bishop were turned over 5-0.

New signing Chris Ndukuba was on target for Crown Wyke as the 100 per cent leaders of Division 1B enjoyed a 4-0 win over Chellow Res, taking their tally to 11 wins.

It was Crown's eighth clean sheet though Rangers did have their chances and had shots cleared off the line.

Cruising at 3-0 up through Mark Bednarek (2) and Tony Coope, Saltaire Rangers avoided a late scare against bottom club Waggoners, who stunned Rangers with two second-half goals.

Better defending from Wibsey WMC Reserves earned them a 3-0 win at White Eagles.

Lee Brompton was Eagles' best player but missed chances cost them dear.

Oakworth Juniors stayed two games and nine points behind Crown after a tight match with Ventus United, who cancelled out Oakworth's 2-0 lead.

Oakworth went in front at 3-2 as United, chasing the game, conceded a fourth goal in the dying moments.
