Children's lives are being put at risk at a school which has not had a lollipop lady since July last year, parents claim.
Helen Grosvenor, who has two children at Russell Hall Primary School in Queensbury, says pupils are in danger when travelling to and from the school.
Many pupils and their parents are forced to cross the busy A64, the main road through the village, to get to class.
Mrs Grosvenor, of Ambleton Way, said: "Each and every morning and evening, we have to watch children dodging the traffic that very rarely stops for them, to ensure they cross safely."
In June last year, parents at the school, through their parent teacher association (PTA), sent a 100-name petition to Bradford Council asking for a pelican crossing to be installed.
Head teacher Michael Ford said it was ludicrous that they invested tens of thousands of pounds in the school to ensure health and, but the local authority was doing little to ensure children arrived safely. Education Bradford said: "We have sent out letters from the school and also advertised the vacancy through posters erected in the Queensbury area. We want people to apply from the local community because it is a local job. We can assure people that when a suitable candidate applies for the job they will be appointed."
A Bradford Council spokesman said: "A report on the petition sent by Russell Hall Primary School PTA will go before the Bradford South area committee on January 26 for consideration."
