Bradford's Totty Building Services has helped reach a landmark £8 million worth of education sector schemes in the last 12-months.
The £900,000 school project scheme has helped to upgrade and extend the Ellar Carr Pupil Referral Unit, for Bradford Council.
The expansion follows a recent £250,000 project at St Mary's RC Primary School in Horwich, Bolton.
The latest project sees Totty Building Services construct a multi-use hall at the Ellar Carr facility.
The courtyard setting of the development has presented Totty with major access restrictions, and a mobile 100-tonne crane will be used throughout the project.
Work to re-roof and refurbish the unit's sports hall, and the demolition of an existing changing block and construction of new changing facilities will also be carried.
Totty will also create a new entrance to the unit, which conforms to the latest Disability Discrimination Act regulations for enhanced accessibility.
Externally, the contractor will put up new fencing in addition to carrying out various hard and soft landscaping.
Philip Ryder, managing director of Totty Building Services, said: "Working in a live environment always presents a range of challenges for a contractor.
"However, at Ellar Carr the added restrictions of site access have required precise scheduling of every phase of the development to ensure operational efficiency whilst minimising disruption to the school."
