A technology firm is helping youngsters take to the slopes.
Aireville School pupils in Skipton will take to the slopes on Thursday courtesy of a mobile simulator.
The Skipton youngsters will be given the opportunity by the Mobile Solutions division of GE, a provider of handheld technology for service and logistics companies, based in Skipton.
As a worldwide sponsor of the Olympic Winter Games in Torino, GE has developed a technologically advanced mobile simulator that allows people to experience the thrill of racing down an Olympic men's downhill ski run. The school, which became a sports college in September, were the first in the UK to have benefited from the experience.
Terry McGinness, Chief Executive Officer, GE Mobile Solutions, said: "We are very pleased to be working with Aireville School and providing a little excitement for local school children."
