Volunteers at a Shipley-based not-for-profit company will be celebrating when the store opens a new extension next week.
Windhill Furniture on Crag Road has taken over the neighbouring premises and the official opening of the new part of the shop will take place on Monday.
Volunteers at the firm restore unwanted furniture and sell it on at an affordable price to those receiving benefits.
The organisation, which was set up 15 years ago, was originally run from two Portakabins.
Since then Windhill Furniture expanded to two premises, the shop on Crag Road and another shop used for storage.
Shop manager Lesley Young said the additional space would mean more room to display furniture, more choice for customers and environmental benefits.
"It's a step forward for the project that we are all really pleased about," she said.
Van-driving volunteers collect unwanted furniture from residences across the district to prevent it being dumped when it could be used.
"It saves it from going to landfill," said Miss Young, who added the project was both environmentally and socially focused.
And the new premises will mean less furniture being turned down for collection.
"We have had to refuse furniture as we have not had room for it in the past," she said.
The service dealt with more than 1,000 clients last year, including both furniture donations and people buying from the project.
"It's definitely becoming more popular because we are quickly running out of space with people bringing things in, even though we have more room now," Miss Young said.
Windhill Furniture has received support from Bradford Vision's Clean Green Safe Environment fund over the last three years.
The extra money is vital for the project to continue serving the community.
"What we make covers about 50 per cent of what we need.
"Without the funding we would not be able to keep things as we have," said Miss Young.
"Anybody can buy furniture here, but people on benefits get an extra discount," she said.
Shipley MP Philip Davies said he had donated furniture to Windhill Furniture in the past.
"They are fantastic and very professional in the way they do things," he said.
Richard Wixey, Bradford Council's director of environmental services, will open the new shop at 11am.
Mr Wixey said: "Furniture recycling stores are great because not only do they recycle furniture but they also provide a fantastic service to needy families."
