Oxenhope 3 Bronte Wanderers 2 - A Bumper crowd turned out to see a pulsating local derby between two of the top teams in the Craven Leavue.
Oxenhope started the brighter but gradually Bronte came more into the game. Mid-way through the first half a crossfield move saw Bronte's Rollins loop his kick over the 'keeper to open the scoring.
Oxenhope raised their game and pressed for the equaliser. They missed several chances before Chris Newman forced his way through the Bronte defence on the stroke of half time and rifled a shot past the keeper.
Oxenhope's manager Paul Breary's half time team talk saw the home side raise their performance and their domination was rewarded when Dave Collier gave them the lead.
Bronte, to their credit, did not give up as they game swung from end to end.
When Oxenhope's keeper, Hopkinson, collided with one of his defenders the ball broke to Bronte's Nelson who rolled the ball into an empty net.
Extra time was looming for two teams suffering with tired legs on aheavy pitch, but with five minutes to go a cross from the left fell to substitute Craig Feather who stroked the ball into the net.
Oxenhope played out the final minutes and go through to represent the Worth Valley in the quarter-final.
Oxenhope reserves continued their good run of fome with a 3-3 draw against League Division One leaders Hellifield.
The goals came from Liam Gill (2) and a bullet header from central defender Michael Clarkson.
Tomorrow (Saturday) the first team travel to Gargrave and the reserves entertain Barrowford.
