A 13TH minute penalty from centre Mark Simpson took Ermysted's Grammar School through to the next round of the Daily Mail Vase as they gained revenge over local rivals Giggleswick School.
Having beaten Ermysted's 29-5 in the first round of the Daily Mail Under-18 Cup last year, Giggleswick arrived at Skipton Rugby Club's Sandylands venue for their round three meeting in optimistic mood.
But Ermysted's coach Chris Meehan has clearly been putting in some good work with his team, as they underlined by claiming a 3-0 win and a home tie in round four against Yarm.
Winners of next Wednesday's tie against Yarm, which will also be played at Skipton RFC, will entertain the winners of the MacMillan Academy/Ullswater CC tie that goes ahead on the same day. Ullswater qualified for that match with a 38-7 home win over Clitheroe RGS.
