YOUNG Ilkley film star Georgie Henley is exchanging the big screen for the local stage when she lines up for Ilkley Upstagers in their annual pantomime.
The young actress will take part in 'Babes in the Wood' at Ilkley's King's Hall from Friday, January 27 to Saturday, February 4.
There will be two shows on Saturday, January 28 at 2.15 pm and 7.15 pm and two shows on Sunday, January 29 at 1pm and 5pm.
Shows will then take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - January 21, February 1, 2 and 3 at 7.15 pm with the final performances on Saturday, February 4, at 2.15 pm and 7.15 pm.
Becky Cocker, who is playing Robin Hood, has been with upstagers for 15 years and this is her first lead role in an Upstagers' pantomime.
She is playing opposite Angela Billington who is playing Maid Marian. This is Angela's first Upstagers appearance although she has performed in Yeadon pantomime before.
The Babes in the Wood are played by Ellie Sager, Georgie Henley, Jack Hanson and Mathew McGuire.
Tickets are available by telephoning 01943 607944. The Upstagers box office will be open from January 20 at the Upstagers Barn in the Midland pub car park from 11 am to 1pm daily.
Upstagers' next performance will be 'Witches of Eastwick' at The Alhambra Theatre, Bradford, from May 31 to June 3. The box office is now open for bookings on 01274 432000.
