MORE honours have come the way of youngsters from Ben Rhydding Hockey Club.
On a cold and damp day on the waterbased astroturf at Durham University on Sunday three Ben Rhydding Hockey Club boys played for Yorkshire Under-15s in the first round of the North County Championship.
In the first match against a spirited Durham team, Yorkshire went on to triumph 2-0.
They then lined up against Northumberland and the Yorkshire lads proved to be far too strong for their opponents winning by an amazing scoreline of 13-0.
Ben Rhydding's Callum Franks and Cameron Borrett both worked hard in midfield to produce some excellent chances for the Yorkshire forwards.
Will Knox, playing his first ever county game, scored goals for his county in both matches.
The Yorkshire team play the second round of games in two weeks time in Manchester when they will line up against The Wirral and Lancaster.
Finally on March 5 they will play their final two games against Cumbria and Cheshire to decide the destination of the North title.
