A place in the quarter-finals of the UniBond League Challenge Cup is the prize at stake for Guiseley and North Yorkshire visitors Whitby Town tomorrow when the rivals clash at Nethermoor.
The only fresh setback sees former Bradford City youth Andy Lee ruled out after picking up an injury in Monday's derby victory at Bradford Park Avenue.
That was a win that went some way to making up for the 3-0 defeat in the reverse fixture. "We lost Andy to a pulled hamstring after just 20 minutes and he will be nowhere near ready for the Whitby game," said manager Neil Parsley.
"It was a hard-earned victory. Park Avenue is never an easy place to go to, but I thought it was a good performance - one that should give the players confidence for tomorrow, even though we haven't got the best recent record against Whitby.
"I'm glad we are at home, some would say it is not an advantage because our results have been better away this season. I would agree that the results haven't always gone our way but I would argue that the performances have been good enough to deserve better.
"Take the Bradford Park Avenue game for instance. We lost heavily according to the scoreline but we deserved something from it.
"There have been other games like that here this term. We are still in this competition and have the County Cup to defend so we will do our best to get to another final after last season.
"If we show similar form to Monday we have every chance of progressing."
