Midfield player Craig Ramage returns to Bradford City's squad for tonight's home match against Reading after recovering from a cartilage injury.
New manager Paul Jewell said: "He trained yesterday morning and I have included him along with all the available senior players."
Definitely out though is defender Darren Moore who has got an abductor muscle injury and winger Peter Beagrie who is suspended.
However, Jewell hopes that Jamie Lawrence, Robbie Blake and Edinho will have recovered from minor injuries picked up in Saturday's draw against Swindon.
Club record signing John McGinlay faces a late fitness test on an injured calf which forced him to miss Saturday's match.
Jewell, who would love to secure his first home win as manager, said: "I watched Reading at Swindon a week last Saturday and they looked a well organised and hard working side.
"They have picked up a lot since we won there 3-0 earlier in the season and I am under no illusions it will be a tough game.
"In every game I have been in charge we have taken the lead, but we have won only one of the three games. We worked on finishing yesterday.
"Although we have missed chances at least we are creating them which is the positive side to it and I know we have got players who can score goals."
Reading, who beat Leeds United in the Coca-Cola Cup last month, have lost only one of their last nine league and cup matches - the Coca-Cola Cup quarter final at home to Middlesbrough.
They face a fourth round FA Cup replay after drawing 1-1 at Cardiff on Saturday.
Reading also needed a replay against non-league Cheltenham in the third round before securing a 2-1 win at Elm Park.
They are without five central defenders, including Northern Ireland international Barry Hunter, and the vastly experienced Keith McPherson.
But they have an experienced strike force with manager Terry Bullivant able to select from Trevor Morley, Stuart Lovell and leading scorer Carl Asaba.
