Keighley Cougars will today receive a huge boost on the eve of the new season by coming out of Administration.
The troubled club have faced financial uncertainty for nearly 18 months after they ran up debts of £1.7 million in their bid to reach the top flight.
Administrator Peter O'Hara was called in with the club facing oblivion but he is expected to hand control back to the Keighley board by the end of today.
The news will be a timely boost for the club, who kick off their season on Sunday with a Challenge Cup tie at home to Saddleworth Rangers before their First Division campaign gets underway at Swinton Lions the following week.
Coach John Kain said: "It will make a tremendous difference as we are now in control of our own income. Simon Irving and the rest of the commercial staff have been working very hard and once this is completed, a number of sponsorship cheques will come into the club.
"It also means we can start to make use of the season ticket money. It is a further sign that the club is coming back."
