Ram-raiders struck at three Keighley businesses in minutes on Wednesday morning.
They smashed into TJ Tyres in Worth Way around 5.45am, taking £4,000-worth of tools and causing over £2,000-worth of damage to the garage's doors. The gang - who used a car stolen from a garage in Arctic Street, Beechcliffe, earlier that morning - then headed down Valley Road and attempted to smash their way into Chippendale Plant Hire and Bargain Motor Spares, without success.
Both premises were extensively damaged, however.
The stolen vehicle, a black F-registration Ford Sierra, was later found dumped in Woodhouse Drive.
Keighley CID boss Det Chief Insp Phil Read believes the raids were planned. Officers are anxious to trace the gang as quickly as possible.
"At that time in the morning we believe a number of people may well have seen the gang either steal the car, attempt to enter the three businesses or abandon the vehicle later, and would like to hear from any witnesses," he says.
Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
