AN Ilkley youth project is urgently appealing for a retired bank manager or accountant to take over as its new treasurer.
The Ilkley Youth Club, housed in The Warehouse, Little Lane, needs a treasurer to complete its committee so a ground floor room building can be converted for use as a disco or recording studio.
Chairman Keith Hunter said: "We can't go on with the feasibility study until we've got a new treasurer and we still need raise a final sum of money so the work can go ahead."
About 150 young people already attend the club, which boasts an upstairs lounge, coffee bar, office and quiet room.
The club is run by Bradford City Council but capital projects are paid for through the Ilkley Youth and Community association committee.
In the past, various groups and organisations in the town have helped with major cash boosts and the club welcomes donations.
The committee meet tonight at The Warehouse, Little Lane, Ilkley, at 7.30pm.
Anyone interested in taking on the voluntary post of treasurer is welcome to attend.
Or they can contact Mr Hunter on 602515.
