Keighley Colts went down to a late converted try after holding a lead over Otley for most of the second half.
First half touchdowns by S Mitchell and M Watson for Keighley made for a lively contest.
Keighley's pack was well led by skipper Alex Artist and held up well against a strong Otley pack, but often naivety behind the scrum lost the team too much hard-earned ground.
The Keighley three-quarters had a few good opportunities to move the ball wide when the overlap was created, but missed chances proved costly as Otley came back strongly in the last 10 minutes.
Keighley Under-15's got back to winning ways with an emphatic 31-14 defeat of Pontefract.
After pressure on the visitors line Nigel Curr stretched over for the opening try which was quickly followed by a score in the corner by centre Tom Hollings after a strong run. Keighley held their lead until haf-time, but needed to be at their best to keep out a determined Pontefract who improved as the game progressed.
Pontefract got on the scoresheet after the break, with a try from their centre which he also converted. Curr responded by brushing off two tackles in a 50m sprint to the line.
Fellow second row man scored soon after a round off a flowing move before Pontefract added a further converted try and closed the gap to ten points.
Keighley finished in fine style through a long gallop by number eight David Hand, which nearly brought him a try, but he slipped the ball to Tom Woodwiss who dived over. He added his third conversion to make the final score 31-14.
Prominent for Keighley in a lively display were Gary Whitehead, Johnny Parker and James Siu.
