LEE WHITAKER grabbed a golden goal to snatch victory from league leaders Salts.
Whitaker challenged the keeper and controlled the ball as he was surrounded by three Salts defenders. He kept his cool under pressure and drove the ball home.
Earlier Revis Sharpe had kept the Keighley side in the game with a string of good saves including scooping a goal-blound shot off his line.
Shamrocks weathered the storm to go in 0-0 at the break.
Salts continued to play attractive football after the re-start, but Shamrocks were in more determined mood and started to rattle the home side.
Whitaker gave his team the lead and the Shamrock's defence was well marshalled by P Earle and keeper D VArley who was always on hand to keep his goal intact.
Both Phoenix sides had a disappointing weekend - losing 2-0.
The first team lost the Bay Athletic after taking their League Cup clash to extra time. Although Phoenix had the better chances throughout the game they were guilty of missing a couple of one on one chances with the keeper which would have secured victory.
Phoenix 2nds were defeated by Trinity Athletic, and just like the first team had numerous chances to seal a win. They hit the woodwork three times and other chances missed by inches.
Trinity only had two clear chances in the match and made certain on both occasions.
Phoenix 2nds have been drawn away to Steeton Reserves in the next round of the Keighley & District Cup.
Results: Division One Cup: Bay Athletic Cup 1, Phoenix 0. Division Two cup: Steeton 1, Yorkshire Saints 6. Division Two: Sal OB 0, Keighley Shamrocks 1. Division Three: Trinity Aths 2, Phoenix Res 0.
