Goalkeeper Gary Walsh looks set to miss Bradford City's home match against promotion play-off contenders Birmingham at Valley Parade tomorrow.
Walsh missed training yesterday because his father is seriously ill and Mark Prudhoe is standing by to deputise.
Walsh has missed only one match - at Stockport in January - since joining City from Middlesbrough in late September first on loan and then in a £500,000 deal.
His consistent performances have earned him rave reviews and he is rated as one of the top keepers in the First Division.
Manager Paul Jewell said: "Walsh is a major doubt. I have been through this myself and I cannot ask him to come and play in these circumstances."
