Tickets are now on sale for the Keighley News' second fashion show, to be held in three weeks.

Included in the show will be the chance for six selected local models to parade down the catwalk in this year's spring/summer fashions. One of them will be chosen as the overall winner of the Keighley News Search for a Model 1998 competition.

The prize includes a modelling contract with Otley-based agency Ravish Productions, which is helping organise the show, and some modelling work for the Keighley News.

Closing date for the contest is today and we will be selecting the lucky six to take part in the show.

Among those entries received this week are:

Lisa Waddington, 22, of Oakworth

Laura Peers, 18, of Haworth

Carolyn Weston, 33, of Keighley

Vicky Hanson, 16, of Silsden

Emma-Jane Timewell, 18, of Silsden

Sarah-Ann Margerison, 16, of Keighley

Debbie Holland, 22, of Keighley.

Keighley shops taking part in the show include David Petyt Menswear, Sunwin House and Jean Junction. Other stores participating are Pudsey-based Rag Doll, and House of Lyness from Bradford.

The show will offer great fashion, spectacular light shows and a thumping soundtrack. It will offer a great night out for all the family. We decided to hold the show following the success of our inaugural event in the autumn. Members of the public responded excellently and everyone enjoyed the event.

Tickets cost £4 and can be bought from the Keighley News' North Street offices either in person or by ringing us on 01535 606611. The event will start at 7.30pm in Keighley's Victoria Hall on Thursday, April 2.

The Keighley News will be publishing a fashion show preview supplement on Friday, March 27. To advertise in it contact Julie Alston on 01535 606611.
