A BORDER terrier breeder from Silsden Moor is celebrating an extraordinary win after her dog won best of breed for the second time.
Jayne Gillam of Schoolmaster Farm, took her terrier, Orenberg Nightfreight, or Luther for short, to Crufts four years ago when he won best of breed. She took him again on Friday when he was successful in the veteran class, he then won best in his group, before going on to win the best of breed again.
Jayne said "He won it in 1994 and I thought that was a once in a lifetime thing then. It's quite remarkable really and more exciting this time as it was so totally unexpected."
Eight-year-old Luther is believed to be the oldest border terrier to win the best of breed.
Other winners from Craven included:
A professional dog groomer who has been breeding dogs for more than 22 years.
