ONLY Three games survived Saturday's deluge.
Skipton Bulldogs Reserves booked a home tie in the Division Three League Cup despite going down 1-0 to Cowling. Defences were on top in a dour game, and it always looked as if one goal would clinch it.
Bulldogs finish on top with the advantage of a home tie and Cowling are second and will play away in the semi-finals. Their oppenents will not be known until later this month.
Sutton beat Settle United in Division Four to go level with St Pauls at the top of the table. They also closed the 'goals difference' to to three goals in Saints favour.
Horton FC defeated Skipton Town Res 3-1 to stay in third place in Division four threepoints behind the leaders, with all having three matches still to play
Oxenhope have an uphill task if they are to snatch the Premier Division title from Skipton Bulldogs - who are after their fourth consecutive championship.
Athough they are currently level on points at the top of the table, Bulldogs have five matches in hand. They are also in the semi-final of the Craven Cup and the quarter-final of the League Cup, but they will have to fall apart in a big way to let the league title slip from their grasp.
Embsay are in third place with a game in hand on Bulldogs and are also still in the cup competitions and face a crowded end of season programme. They also have to play Bulldogs twice.
But the key to the title could be in the hands of Keighley FC who are in courth place, six points behind Bulldogs and three behind Embsay. Their remaining fixtures include Bulldogs, home and away, Embsay away and Oxenhope away - and maximum points from those games could change the whole picture.
However, Oxenhope must take maximum points from theirfour remaining games and hope the others slip up.
Haworth have nine matches left, but cannot afford to drop any further points if they hope to be involved in the final race to tape.
Silsden and Rimington have swapped the lead in Division One throughout the season with Rimington currently three points ahead, but Silsden have two games in hand. The teams have yet to meet each other which will have a big say in the final outcome.
Bradley currently occupy third place, but having played thre matches more than the leaders, and five more than silsden, their chances look to have gone. Intake FC are three points behind the leaders, but they also need miracles if they are to take honours.
The Division Two title looks tobe going all the way to the wire with four teams involved. Haworth Reserves are four points ahead of West Bradford who remain favourites thanks to their three games in hand. Hellifield and Barrowford are also involved and with the clubs due to play each other almost anything could happen.
Division Three has been resolved with Addingham Reserves waiting to collect their trophy. They have one match left and cannot be caught with Cowling Reserves and Cononley Sports Reserves fighting out second place.l
Cowling meet Cononley in their remaining game and can reach a 19-point total, but if Cononley win they have two further games to reach the 19-point mark. Skipton Bulldogs are also in there, but have to rely on Cononley and Cowling dropping points while they must win their three matches to overtake them.
Division Four has turned into a two horse race with St Paul's Reserves and Sutton now clear of the chasing pack. Saints have a two point advantage, but Sutton have a game in hand with the odds looking slightly in their favour. Horton could sneak into the frame if the top clubs slip up, but if they finish third in their first season it will reflect great credit on everyone for resurrecting the club.
Things are also on the boil in the Division Two and Three league cup competitions which are being played on a two-section league basis.
Embsay and Haworthlook favourites to progress from section A of Division Two with Barnoldswick United in a position to upset things if the games go their way. West Bradford already have six points in SectionB with Bronte, Barrowford and Hellifield fighting it out for the remainingsemi-final place.
Skipton Bulldogs and Cowling are clear of the rest in Division Three Section B, while Cononley Reserves, Adddingham and Skipton LMS Reserves have to fight it out in Section A.
