Guiseley 2
GUISELEY extended their unbeaten run under new manager Bobby Davison to seven games with Wednesday night's victory at Radcliffe Borough.
The goals came from midfielders Lee Elam and Andy Williams, the latter's being his first strike for the club since his transfer from Matlock Town in late February.
Guiseley started off playing down the slope and found things difficult against a stubborn Radcliffe defence.
There were few chances for either side and it took until the 43rd minute for Lee Elam to open the scoring after good work by Neil Matthews and Peter Atkinson.
The second-half followed a similar pattern and Radcliffe hit the post before Williams sealed things with his 89th minute strike from a good cross by Simon Parke.
Williams took the ball round the 'keeper and slid it into the net.
Guiseley Reserves continue their Bolton Alliance title challenge on Saturday when they entertain Bamber Bridge with the first team at Marine.
t Full-back Peter Atkinson is pictured right celebrating with his young son Josh having played 500 games for Guiseley's first team.
