Grassington and Sutton will contest the first of this season's Craven Football League cup finals after winning their respective Division Four League Cup Semi-Finals on Saturday.
Grassington defeated Colne Cricket Club 4-1 in a thriller which saw the last three goals coming in the last 10 minutes as Grassington staged a storming finish to reach their first final for many years.
The match was played hard but fair and excellently controlled by referee Andy Bentham whose sensible attitude to the importance of the game contributed to an excellent afternoon.
Sutton had a much easier task completely outplaying St Pauls 5-0 to reach their first ever cup final and become hot favourites for the Division Four League and Cup double.
In a Premier League Cup Second Round tie Skipton Bulldogs defeated Haworth 5-4, the winner coming in injury time for Bulldogs who are now at home in their quarter-final match with Embsay this Saturday.
In the Divisions Two and Three League Cups the semi-finals picture has not become much clearer. In the Division Two competition Embsay lost a great chance of qualifying when they lost at home to Barnoldswick United 3-0 and now both Embsay and Barnoldswick have to win their remaining match if they are to catch Haworth.
And in the Division Three competition Addingham also lost a golden opportunity of qualifying when they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Skipton LMS, the teams meeting again this Saturday at Skipton with both needing to win to qualify. Addingham do have one match left after this but must win both to finish top of the group.
In their Division Two League Cup match Barrowford beat Bronte Wanderers 4-3 away.
On the league front both Embsay and Keighley closed the gap on the leaders, Embsay having a 5-0 victory over Colne Cricket Club, and they are now a point behind second-placed Bulldogs - who are behind Oxenhope on goal difference by just one - having played the same number of matches. Keighley sent Skipton LMS nearer Division One with a 5-1 win and are now three points behind Embsay and four behind Bulldogs having played the same number of games as both.
Cononley beat Cowling 3-2 away and Cross Hills beat Addingham 4-2 at home.
In Division One leading teams Rimington and Silsden met at Rimington with honours ending even at 2-2, leaving Rimington three points clear but Silsden have two matches in hand and Rimington to play at home.
Bradley surprisingly lost at home to Carleton who are pulling away from bottom spot 2-1.
Keighley, who went down at home 4-1 to Grassington, are bottom and beginning to look like candidates for the drop along with either Grassington or Carleton.
Gargrave beat Oxenhope 5-3 away and St Pauls beat Grindleton 2-1 away.
Haworth, who had a 9-1 win over bottom club Wharfedale Gate, still lead Division Two, with Hellifield moving above West Bradford after defeating them 3-2. Hellifield are five points adrift of Haworth with three matches in hand while West Bradford are a point further back.
With Division Three having been won by Addingham Cowling clinched runners-up spot by defeating Cononley 4-1.
With the leading clubs in Division Four battling out the cup semi-finals Horton moved to three points behind the leaders after defeating bottom club Skipton Town 3-2 but have only two matches left as opposed to the leaders' three.
Hellifield beat Settle 5-2 at home and Silsden beat Bradley 2-0 at home.
