Keighley schools Under-16 side crushed Blackpool to lift the Youth Challenge Plate trophy.
The match, played as a curtain-raiser to the main Cougar game at Cougar Park, saw the Keighley side playing up the slope in the first half and they took time to get into gear. But within eight minutes the first try had been scored by scrum half Andy Bowness - and the Keighley lads never looked back.
The Blackpool side had great difficulty trying to cross thehalf way line as Keighley swept to a 32-0 half time lead.
And there was no let up after the break with Andy Bowness scoring two tires and five goals Chris Atkins raced in for four tries and a goal.
Nin players got their neames on the scoresheet, the other scorers being Ben Archibald, Doug Bent, Andrew Crowsher, Richard Dibbin (2), Bryan Hutchinson andChris Feather (2).
All seventeen players in the Keighley squad showed team work and discipline, only allowing Blackpool to cross the whitewash in the last five minutes.
Keighley Schools Under-13's beat Bradford 32-10 on extremely heavy ground. Tries from Andy Feather (2), Tom Holland (2), James Routledge and Matt Steel. Andy Feather and Matt Steel each kicked two conversions.
Cougar Cubs under-13's built on a solid defensive efort tobeat Elland Boxers 42-18. Tries from Andy Feather (3), James Routledge (2), Tom Holland (2) and Anthony Ackroyd were backed up by convesions from Matt Steel (2) and Andy Feather (3).
Cougar Cubs Under-10's beat Ovenden by the odd try in a 13-try thriller. Kristian Stell, David Iliff and Joe Slater were solid in defence with Matthew Lambert and Peter Gower inpressive in attack. Scsorers were Keith Shackleton (4), Ben Drabarek (2) and Nicky Smith with Stell adding two goals. Effort awards went to Stell, Drabareck and Shackleton.
After a nail-biting first half Cougar Cub Pumas Under-11's ran away with a 54-18 victory. Chris Clough opened the scoring and Gavin Duffy raced in from half way. Elland briefly held the lead, but then it was all one-way traffic with duffy scoring two more, Matthew Lanstaff ading a hatrick, including a penalty try and man of the match Dean Ryan running in three converted tries. Patrick Haughey and Paul Gilford mead their debuts in the match.
Keighley Cetlic youth just missed out in a classic 34-36 encounter with Newsome Panthers. An excellent forward combination from Bowness and Gardner set theplatform for some excellent passing moves - a superb team performance which should set the foundation for their final cup run. Tries were scored by Walton, Fowlds, Langford, Gardner and Spencer (2) with goals from Broadley, Fowlds, Lanfrod, Spencer and Short.
Cougar Cubs All Stars were back in action after a three-week leay-off, but showed no signs of rustiness in a thrilling game against West Bowling. A George Brent score was all that separated the sides at halftime.
After thebreak Cougars had to dig deep to Keep Bowling out as they played down the slope. the match was finally decided by two long range efforts from Dean Bogle.
