Addingham'S bid for floral glory has received a boost with a cash injection of £178 following a successful coffee morning.
A well attended event on Saturday, in aid of Addingham In Bloom, featured stalls including cakes, plants, bric-a-brac, raffle and tombola.
The Addingham In Bloom committee would like to thank businesses and individuals who supported the event by donating prizes.
The money raised will go towards renovating the seats around the village and also to purchase shrubs and plants for various areas.
The Spring round of judging takes place on April 1 and the committee hopes the residents and businesses in Addingham will help to make the village look even better than last year, both in Spring and Summer.
As Addingham won the Best Kept Village in West Yorkshire, the committee hopes to keep the high standard and even improve, aiming for a higher placing in the Yorkshire and Humberside in Bloom competition.
Last year, the village finished fifth in its category.
A committee member said: "With a bit more extra effort from everybody it is hoped a better placing can be achieved this year."
